Programs That Help
- Childcare Subsidy Division
  - The Las Vegas Urban League's Child Care Subsidy Program strives to provide affordable, accessible, reliable, caring, safe, and stimulating child care for the children of Southern Nevada.
- Nevada Public Computer Centers BTOP
  - The program currently operates 31 free Nevada Public Computer Centers in Clark County. The vision of Nevada Public Computer Centers is to connect people, information and resources to change lives and achieve lasting impact.
- Family Development Center
  - Management services and referrals for homeless and low-income families in crisis. Client assessments identify barriers to economic self-sufficiency and personal wellbeing.
- REXO Champs
  - REXO Champs is designed to assist ex-felons transitioning from prison back to the community. The goal is to provide services through family re-unification, educational services, mentoring and referrals to help ex-felons to become self-sufficient.
- Supportive Services for Veteran Families
  - Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) provides a range of support services to those brave souls who have served this country in its armed forces and their families.
- Weatherization Assistance Program
  - The Weatherization program provides services to low income eligible residents of North Las Vegas, at no cost, to achieve lower utility bills and allow for more flexible income.
- Education and Youth Initiative
  - The Education and Youth Initiative's core mission is to assist our youth with homework and tutoring to improve their circumstances in the classroom and parent literacy strategies.
- Women, Infants, & Children (WIC)
  - WIC Nutrition Education Center is the state's "model program" for high-performing facilities safeguarding healthy living, wellness, and nutrition for Women, Infants, and Children.
- Martin Luther King Senior Center
  - The MLK Senior Center provides nutritious lunches, health screenings, transportation, home repair and modification, life-skills education, computer training, socialization and recreation for 800 low-income older adults per year.
- Pearson Community Center
  - The Pearson Center is a first-class community resource center offering services ranging from Computer Labs, Fitness Room and Programs, Senior Services, Arts and Crafts, After School programs and an Open Gym. The center also offers programs and services for preschoolers.

Who We Serve - Supporting Diverse Communities

Living in a diverse community gives people an opportunity to observe and learn about different cultures from a variety of perspectives. The Las Vegas Urban League strives to create environments and programs that support all aspects of diversity.

The Las Vegas Urban League served 23,084 (unduplicated count*) and more than 100,000 (duplicated count*) individuals, children, students, seniors, families, and people with disabilities during fiscal year 2010. Since our inception as a Community Action Agency, we have become the leading social impact agency in Southern Nevada and provide a variety of specialized services to a diverse group of clients designed to lead toward self- sufficiency.

*Unduplicated count refers to the first time a client registers with our organization, and a duplicated count is when that same first-time client repeats services within a program.

The Las Vegas Urban League is committed to reaching out and communicating with our diverse population in a number of ways. This includes providing educational materials in multiple languages, participating with community partners to reach all ethnic groups, advertising programs in cultural publications, providing training and education in many languages, hiring staff that reflect the community and clients we serve, and locating our satellite/outreach offices in or near the populations we serve.
